Achnagairn House lies in the tranquil highland countryside in Inverness-shire. This Luxury Highland Mansion House offers you a very unique experience in the Scottish Highlands. Whether it be for a Wedding, Corporate Event, Family Gathering or Celebration, this "exclusive use venue" is true luxury and grandeur. The property sleeps up to 55 in 24 bedrooms, as some rooms are triples and one is a family room sleeping 5 people. However, if you prefer to keep a traditional 2 persons to each bedroom then the house sleeps 48 people in considerable luxury.
Each bedroom has its own name and identity. Some are traditional, with relaxing neutral tones, whilst others are more modern with a design rivaling the best boutique hotels worldwide. The bathroom in one of the rooms is tiled in travertine stone from Italy and has two baths, both of which look out over the grounds.
Another bedroom and bathroom, has a round shape, complete with a round bed, topped with a circular chandelier. For those with more conservative tastes, traditional 4 poster bed, a double aspect view and an enormous bathroom, with whirlpool bath and a separate large shower. Yet another has a hidden safe, original heavy wooden furniture and a bathroom with a naval theme - an artist was commissioned to hand paint ships onto the tiles for us.
Exclusive Scottish Weddings
An Exclusive Scottish Wedding is truly exclusive when you hire Achnagairn House for your own private use. That includes the grounds, all the reception rooms, the ballroom, the home cinema and the many bedrooms. This means that, for the period of your stay, the mansion is yours and yours alone.
For your exclusive wedding you are welcome to invite up to 260 guests for the day and evening. For an elegant sit down meal up to 160 can be accommodated in the ballroom, but there are several other reception areas where the meal can be held if the group is smaller. The property holds a permanent wedding licence.
The main room for your wedding day is the stunningly beautiful Ballroom. It has retained its original splendour, from the massive fireplace topped with the family’s coat of arms to the oak panelled walls and the hand carved gargoyles in the vaulted ceilings. Romantic and Grand !!
Luxury and Exclusive
For Corporate Events, Meetings & Conferences, Achnagairn House is very well situated, whether you arrive by air, road or rail. Its public rooms are large and spacious allowing anything from a small incentive trip to a large conference (with a maximum reception capacity of 260).
The 24 bedrooms are luxurious and will be equipped with Wi-Fi to enable productive working. They are individually designed to get away from the all too prevalent corporate feel.
All your catering needs and AV requirements can be taken care of. There are also numerous activities available in the house and surrounding areas. The house is offered on a exclusive basis, allowing your group full access to the house and grounds in complete privacy. |
