The Lodge - Private & Exclusive
The Lodge is one of Scotland's secluded havens, nestling peacefully
on the picturesque shores of Loch Goil. The Lodge was built in the
late 1860’s by William Leiper and this stunning arts and crafts
style loch side villa has been lovingly renovated by Iain Hopkins,
its owner, and now offers the ultimate Highland retreat ... Luxury,
Exclusivity and Privacy all combined.
Check into the Lodge and stroll along to the Summerhouse perched on the
edge of the water. Totally self-contained with simple décor and
wood burning stove the Summerhouse is the perfect place to gaze at the
stars and listen to the sound of waves lapping gently on the shore. The
Lodge has hosted hundreds of fashion shoots. Everyone from Vogue, Marks
& Spencers and the World’s top super models have passed
through its doors. For the ultimate stay follow Helena Christensen’s
lead.
There’s more to the Lodge than the stunning scenery. The are seven
beautifully appointed all en-suite bedrooms, which offer a traditional
feel of wooden floors, huge iron bedsteads, roll-top baths and tongue
and groove flooring. The magnificent furniture is complimented with
carefully thought out additions …an antique typewriter, ornate
angel lights and leather bound books. Sumptuous bathrobes, cozy
slippers and warm towels make the Lodge your “home from
home”.
In the Lodge’s splendid dining room you can feast on some of
Scotland ’s finest cuisine. The seasonal produce is all organic,
full of goodness and prepared using local ingredients. Our chef uses
only the freshest meat, fish and seafood. Vegetables, herbs and spices
are grown in own garden. All guests eat “en-famille” and
are invited to pre-select their meals from our extensive menu.
Meetings & Weddings at The Lodge
Secluded, peaceful and offering complete privacy, The Lodge is the
perfect place for meetings, seminars, small conferences, presentations
or product launches. Our experienced team will be more than happy to
assist you with everything you require to ensure that you have a
successful and productive visit. The Lodge offers the unique
opportunity to mix business with pleasure at the perfect country hideaway.
Whether you would like a simple and intimate Scottish wedding or a much
more lavish affair, The Lodge is the perfect venue. Our chef can cater
for your every need - be it Fish & Chips and pink champagne or a
sumptuous banquet. We specialise in smaller intimate Highland weddings
of up to 40 guests and our highly experienced wedding planner, Alice,
will organise everything you require from the flowers and entertainment
to your wedding cake.
By working closely together, we can put in place the plans to make this
day unforgettable in every way. The Summerhouse at the bottom of the
garden is also the perfect place to spend your wedding night.
Whilst the Lodge is without doubt a great place to totally unwind, for
the more active the outdoor activities on offer are second to none. As
well as mountain biking, walking and clay shooting we offer deer stalking,
curling during the winter months and the pure exhilaration of power
boating. Why not indulge in the ancient art of falconry and experience
beautiful birds of prey up close. The Lodge is truly “The Jewel
