The Maher family has been farming Ballinkeele since 1808. The Estate was bought
in 1825 and the present house built in 1840.

Country House Dining
The Dining Room at Ballinkeele House offers guests the opportunity
to experience first hand the Country House grandeur of bygone years. Decorated
in the period of the house with candle light reflecting off the beautiful chandelier,
guests can enjoy their evening meal, whilst getting to know or as has happened,
meeting someone after 40 years as they sit around the old family table.
We have
a small, but reasonably varied wine list from house ranging up to Champagne.
There maybe some guests, who would wish to dine at a separate table this can
be arranged.
It is an ideal situation for business people to have a business meeting over
dinner in a relaxing atmosphere with accommodation. Food allergies are catered
for and dislikes. Please note that the Ballinkeele only has a wine licence.
The garden and places to walk for the guest is gaining more interest as more
paths are being worked on and around the Laundry pond, we have the lake refilled
and hope to have course fishing for guests sometime this year. Ballinkeele House
is perfect for family gatherings or old friends get together, you will be most
welcome.
